Both sides have rested in the
case. Closing arguments will begin Thursday May 14, 2009 at 9:30am. The
jury has been instructed to bring an overnight bag to court on Thursday. If
convicted, Robert Fratta would face the death penalty.
Justice delayed is justice
denied. The entire Baquer family deserve to be able to put this chapter in
their lives to rest. Farah deserves to rest in eternal peace and Robert
Fratta needs to receive his anti-crime vaccine that should have been
administered years ago.
A 15-year-old boy was kidnapped and killed over a
$1,200 drug debt owed by his half-brother. A 4 1/2-year manhunt ended on a
beach in Brazil. And allegations of misconduct by a prosecutor prompted a
ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Now, the ending of the real-life story is about to be written.
Nine years after the killing, the trial begins.....

Baze v. Rees - Supreme Court Rejects Baze! APRIL 16, 2008
The U.S. Supreme Court Wednesday rejected a
challenge (Baze v. Rees) to the lethal three-drug cocktail used in most
U.S. executions during the past 30 years. Executions nationwide had been
placed on hold awaiting this decision.
